What is MENOPUR®?

MENOPUR® is a highly purified mixture of human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity, the most important hormones for inducing the growth of the follicles that produce ova (eggs). As a human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG), MENOPUR® is classified as a “menotropin.” Menotropins—injectable hormones that control the reproductive function—are one of the most widely used types of infertility medication. MENOPUR® has undergone additional steps for purification. This state-of-the-art purification process results in fewer injection site reactions and less discomfort for the patient.
